Dress for the Theatre of Life

by Fluffleberry on January 3, 2011

This is my new year’s resolution 2011. All too often I find that I am rushing out of the door having thrown on something easy and comfortable. I have a cupboard fit to burst and shoe boxes piling up everywhere so why am I wearing a tiny percentage of my wardrobe?

I am 30 and thus far child free so I spend all my expendable income (albeit modest) on my great love, fashion. Why therefore am I constantly running around in ancient leggings and ugg boots? I’ve given it a lot of thought and I think that years of over playing, over working and yes, I’ll admit it, under exercising have resulted in fatigue. From this physical tiredness springs my insatiable lust for comfort items, but just like any self respecting fashionista I just don’t feel good when I’ve been lazy.

My new year’s resolution does not mean I will give up leggings or that I will not accept the beautiful new ugg boots my sister in law bought me back from America for Christmas. It simply means that I have to find ways to be comfortable in style, and where I cannot I need to trade comfort for contentment.

Just a few extra minutes could mean the difference between feeling dull and low all day or confident and uplifted.  Somewhere along the line I became too tired to be creative and at the end of 2010 I decided that things have to change.

So I trotted into 2011 in my Louboutins, determined to make life art and dress for the theatre of life.

Here, here! Enjoy the bright lights of 2011 Lovely Laura, and by the way, I think you very often look glamorous and more often beautiful!

Love the golden Louboutins, I wonder what it would be like to cook in them?!?
