A while back I was wandering through Dover Street Market when I came across some amazing necklaces with paper clip animal pendants. They remained in my mind for some time and today I decided to look up the designer.
Her name is Katie Hillier and I LOVE her jewellery! She has worked with many big fashion houses, such as Stella McCartney, Victoria Beckham and Loewe but the names on her CV that stood out for me were Luella and her ongoing consultancy for Marc by Marc Jacobs as I have been a massive fan of both brands over the years. I think this is because both these fashion labels brought humour to accessories in a way that I had not experienced before and now I can see why! Katie Hillier must have been the genius behind the whimsical jewellery and accessories all along.
Anyway, I am delighted to have discovered Katie Hillier, her jewellery is both beautiful and silly in equal measures. Just like me!
Hillier describes her aesthetic as “luxury with a wink”. It is largely based on playful woodland animals and there is something for everyone. My personal favourites have to be the bunnies though, as my family call me “Bun”. Here are some of my favourite pieces from her collections. I long for everything! Especially the bunny rings!!!

It is only right to love art and beauty and enjoy luxury. Even in times of recession, but fashion, like us can take itself far too seriously! Katie Hillier shows us through her jewellery we can retain a childlike sense of fun in everything we do and for that she has officially become my favourite accessories designer.
